Sonora.ID – Case Covid-19 has not yet ended, even in some countries it has spiked again, especially with the appearance of the Omicron BA.5 subvariant.
This Covid-19 subvariant can still infect people who already have immunity, both from previous infections and Covid-19 vaccinations.
In addition, the emergence of this BA.5 subvariance makes the symptoms that appear also change, where fever is no longer a symptom that is widely reported.
In fact, the most reported symptoms of patients exposed to Omicron BA.5 were: sore throat.
One of the stories and reports from a critical care physician and lung specialist, Dr Mike Hansen. He revealed his experience when infected with Omicron BA.5.
Quoted from Express UK, the symptom that he said was the most excruciating was a sore throat.
“It’s very painful,” said Dr Hansen, quoted by Express UK.
Dr. Hansen also explained that the symptoms he experienced were fatigue, fever, sore throat, runny nose, and cough.
“The worst part is the first three to four days,” he explained.
“Although my sore throat really doesn’t bother me when I’m about to drink liquids or swallow food, but whenever I have saliva in the back of my throat and about to swallow, it’s very painful,” explains Dr Hansen.
