A secret aircraft again revealed. This time it’s about the difference between folding tables on ordinary airplane seats and seats near the emergency exit.
Swiss Airlines recently shared this secret via the Tiktok account @flyswiss. In the uploaded video, the airline shows a folding table on a regular seat whose hooks can be turned either clockwise or counterclockwise.
While the folding table on the chair near the emergency exit, the hook is different. Apparently, the hook can only be rotated in one direction, namely clockwise.
This feature difference is made not without reason. The hook on the emergency seat table is made in one direction for the safety of passengers.

The video, which has been watched more than 5 million times, has received various comments from netizens. Many are also new to this unique fact.

Meanwhile, a former flight attendant, Kat Kalamani, also explained why tables must be folded and chairs must be upheld in an emergency.

He also reminded passengers to always clean folding tables on airplanes before using them. He said, this is one of the areas on the plane with the most germs.
