It turns out that Anies ordered the DKI Dispora to pay the Commitment Fee for Formula E without asking for price negotiations

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TVDKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan once issued Governor Instruction (Ingub) Number 77 of 2019 concerning Support in Preparation for the Implementation of Formula E Activities in 2020.

In his instructions, Anies ordered the Head of the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) to pay for the financing commitment fee Formula E without negotiating the price.

In the letter, Anies requested that the financing of support for the implementation of Formula E be charged to the Youth and Sports Office’s Budget Implementation Document (DPA) for the 2019 Fiscal Year.

“Financing for the provision of support as referred to in the first dictum is charged in the Amendment to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget through the Youth and Sports Office’s Budget Implementation Document (DPA) for the 2019 Fiscal Year in accordance with the provisions of the legislation,” Anies wrote. Anies is known in the Ingub that he did not order the DKI Jakarta Dispora to renegotiate the amount of money that must be issued in the implementation of Formula E, including commitment fee.

Anies issued the Ingub on August 27, 2019, or eight days after the report letter on the implementation of Formula E was submitted by the DKI Jakarta Dispora.

In the DKI Jakarta Dispora report letter dated August 15, 2019, payment obligations are described commitment fee by DKI Jakarta for five years of implementation amounting to 121 million Pounds Sterling or equivalent to Rp. 2.3 trillion.

These costs do not include insurance payments of 35 million Euros.
