“I’m taking a sabbatical for a few months,” says Sid van Oerle. The actor has been playing Kobe in the popular since 2016. Home, but now says goodbye to the set. How long exactly is not defined. “During that period I will take the time to recharge my batteries and to sort out the present and the future. The corona year is a period that has cut down on a lot of people, including me. That is why I have now decided to pass Kobe on to a fellow actor for a few months, so that I can take it easy for a while.”
That actor is Reynout Dekimpe (30). He graduated from the Leuven LUCA School of Arts just a few years ago. He has mainly been on stage in recent years, but was already featured on TV in, among other things, Salamander, Aspe and the second season of Gent-West. “It was the end of July and I was on a road trip through Flanders with my motorcycle,” says Dekimpe. “A missed call and then a text message from the producer of Thuis: whether I could call back. They asked me if I had the time and inclination to fly right in. A day after that phone call, I went to the studios in Leuven to pick up all the scenarios and I was taken care of by the stylists.”
