A fire broke out at dawn today, Tuesday, at the Sohag Oncology Institute, and civil defense forces were able to control the fire and extinguish it, without causing any casualties. or any injury, and before the fire spread to other parts of the place.

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Deputy Governor of Sohag, Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, warden and officers of the First Sohag Police Department, and Dr. Hatem Amin, Director of the Oncology Institute, moved to the scene the fire

Investigations revealed that the fire started on the third floor of Building A, which is the nursing home of the institute immediately orders were given to evacuate the remaining floors of the patient building, numbered 50 a patient As a precautionary measure to ensure safety, they were moved to another building in the institute.

The Sohag Civil Defense Forces used 3 fire engines, and the Sohag Ambulance Facility, under the direction of Dr. Hani Fouad, director of the facility, deployed 12 ambulances, which were present with the expectation of transporting patients to another location .
