Most people probably don’t think about it often, yet not all living things perceive reality in the same way. Many assume that pets, for example, smell the same and see the same things as their owners. But they will have to change their minds.
Many think they know their four-legged friend thoroughly and understand all his emotions. Yet the reality is that being part of another species, there are not few differences that can be found.
More than just an animal
For anyone who has, or has had, in the past, a pet, they know that it is more than just company. Over time the bond that is created is so deep that it is really hard at times to consider it a animals.
Yet he is, and as such, his perception of things, and therefore his senses, are very different. Not only the sense of smell of dogs, for example, is far more developed than that of humans, but sight also has particular characteristics. In fact, it sounds incredible but that’s exactly how dogs see us.
The fake of black and white
It is often said that dogs are unable to see colors and that all of reality perceives it in black and white. However, this is absolutely not true.
Dogs are able to see colors, they just don’t do it the same way humans do. While the human species is able to distinguish a wide range of colors, the canine species distinguishes only a few. In fact, it is often said that canine vision closely resembles that of an individual daltonico.
Besides the colors, there are other important differences. Dogs, in fact, can’t see very well up close, but they have great eyesight when it comes to the long distance. They also have a much wider field of view than humans.
There are not a few who think that the dog has reduced visibility and that it is not able to see in the same way as the owner, yet it seems incredible but this is exactly how dogs see us.
