There were at least 857 new cases of coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea by 11 pm on the 18th. Considering the confirmed cases added by 12 p.m., the number of new confirmed cases to be counted as of 0 o’clock on the 19th is expected to record around 1,000. On the 4th day, up to 1,000 confirmed cases may occur.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and each local government on the 19th, the number of new confirmed cases counted from 0 a.m. to 11 p.m. the previous day was 334 in Seoul, 243 in Gyeonggi, 53 in Incheon, 35 in Busan, 30 in Gyeongnam, and 25 in Gangwon. People, Gyeongbuk 25, Chungnam 24, Chungbuk 22, Jeonbuk 14, Daegu 9, Ulsan 9, Jeju 8, Gwangju 5, Jeonnam 5, Daejeon 4, total 857 people.
The daily confirmed cases showed a trend of ‘950 → 1030 → 718 → 880 → 1078 → 1014 → 1062 people’ for one week from the 12th to the 18th as of 0 o’clock. On the 3rd day, 1000 confirmed cases were recorded.
◇At least 630 confirmed patients in the metropolitan area… Seoul 334, Gyeonggi 243, Incheon 53
There were at least 334 confirmed cases in Seoul. In the existing group infection, new confirmed cases occurred in △dance lessons in Gangseo-gu, △Pagoda town in Jongno-gu, △a hospital in Dongdaemun-gu, △sauna in Seocho-gu, △a church in Seongbuk-gu, and △a hospital in Gwangjin-gu. There were a significant number of people infected by contact with existing confirmed patients, and not a few confirmed patients were investigating the route of infection.
At least 243 confirmed cases were found in Gyeonggi Province. In Yongin City, 11 people, including the pastor’s family and members of the prestigious church in Giheung-gu, were confirmed. In Goyang City, the spread of nursing facilities, including 3 people at the Felis Nursing Home, 1 Beautiful Life Nursing Home, and 1 Smile Morning Nursing Hospital, continued.
In Incheon, the number of confirmed cases increased to 53 (Incheon No. 2142-2180). By region, there were 16 in Bupyeong-gu, 7 in Namdong-gu, 6 in Seo-gu, 6 in Yeonsu-gu, 3 in Gyeyang-gu, and 1 in Michuhol-gu. In the existing group infection, 1 person related to Bucheon Securities Company and 1 person in Namdong-gu beauty salon increased.

◇At least 227 people in the non-metropolitan area… Busan bathhouse 5 people, Gyeongnam Office of Education 5 people, etc.
In Busan, 35 confirmed patients (Busan 1416-1450) were added on this day. Five of them (No. 1426-1430) were found to have contacted No. 1375 (confirmed on the 16th) at a public bathhouse located in Suyeong-gu, Busan. Four family members (1423~1424, 1437~1438) who visited the wedding hall in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do were also confirmed on this day. In relation to the Inchang Nursing Hospital, a local group infection in Busan, two related confirmed cases (No. 1433~1434) were added. There are 6 confirmed cases who are investigating the route of infection. Other than those, they were infected by contacting existing confirmed cases, family members, and acquaintances.
In Gyeongnam, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 30 (Gyeongnam 974~1003). By region, there were 10 in Changwon, 5 in Sacheon, 5 in Gimhae, 3 in Geoje, 2 in each of Miryang, Yangsan, and Jinju, and 1 in Tongyeong. Five out of 10 Changwon confirmed cases (Changwon No. 339-343) were infected through contact with a confirmed employee of the Gyeongnam Provincial Office of Education, who was confirmed on the 17th. Changwon No. 346~347 2 are confirmed cases related to the Changwon Music Club. In Gimhae, three confirmed cases related to the Elderly Day Care Center (Gimhae 129-130, 132) increased. One confirmed person in Geoje was related to the Geoje shipyard, and another confirmed person related to Yun Hospital was added in Miryang.
In Ulsan, 9 confirmed patients (Ulsan 531~539) were added. Of these, three were confirmed by N-th infection related to Yangjiyoyang Hospital, and Ulsan No.531 was a family member of a confirmed person related to the funeral home in Changnyeong. In addition, there were 2 people due to contact with confirmed cases in other regions, 1 with unknown path of infection, and 2 foreign countries.
◇Pyeongchang Ski Resort, Jecheon Nursing Home, Boryeong Dormitory, Dangjin Religious Facility, etc.
In Gyeongbuk, the number of confirmed patients increased by 25 (Gyeongbuk number 1892~1916). By region, there were 7 in Gyeongju, 6 in Gumi, 4 in Andong, 4 in Pohang, 2 in Gimcheon, and 1 in each of Yeongju and Gunwi. In Gumi, two confirmed cases related to Daegu Youngshin Church were added. In Gyeongju, the spread continued through sporadic contact, such as 5 people numbered 156~160 contacted and infected with confirmed cases in other regions.
In Gangwon-do, 25 confirmed patients (Gangwon 870-894) were added. By region, 12 people in the East Sea (No. 10 to 21 in the East Sea), 7 people in Wonju (No. 260-266 in Wonju), 3 people in Pyeongchang (No. 22-24 in Pyeongchang), 2 people in Gangneung (No. 79-80 in Gangneung), 1 person in Jeongseon (Jeongseon) 18) and so on. In Pyeongchang, three additional confirmed cases related to the Yongpyong Resort ski resort came out. These are all high school students, and they are serial infections that lead to part-time jobs in ski resorts → PC rooms → high school. In Donghae, there were 7 confirmed cases, including patients and guardians admitted to Donghae Hospital of the Labor Welfare Corporation. In addition, in the East Sea, two confirmed cases increased due to contact with confirmed cases in Changwon. In Wonju, five acquaintances (No. 261 to 265 in Wonju) were infected. They are known to have had a meal meeting on the 12th with Wonju 257~258, which were confirmed earlier.
In Chungbuk, 22 confirmed cases (Chungbuk 654~675) occurred. By region, there were 12 Jecheon, 7 Cheongju, and 3 Chungju. In Jecheon, the number of confirmed cases related to elderly nursing homes increased by five. They were tested positive in diagnostic tests ahead of self-isolation. A nurse and two patients were also confirmed at a general hospital in Jecheon, where a cohort was quarantined due to a confirmed case. In Cheongju, four confirmed cases of group infection were added. Among them, Cheongju No. 233 was confirmed positive at the post-hoc examination. In Chungju, two families of government officials at Chungju City Hall (Chungbuk No. 654~655) confirmed the day before were confirmed one after another.
In Chungnam, 24 confirmed cases (Chungnam No. 1228~1241) were added. By region, there were 10 Boryeong, 9 Dangjin, 3 Cheonan, and 1 each in Asan and Nonsan. In Boryeong, 10 additional people who were self-isolation related to overseas students in Ajou Automobile University dormitory were confirmed. In Dangjin, six additional confirmed people were confirmed at the Dangjin Naum Church and Seosan Ramanayot Prayer Center, a group infection related to Dangjin religious facilities. Dangjin Nos. 110-112 and 114 are confirmed cases related to Naum Church. Dangjin Nos. 106-107 were finally confirmed during self-containment related to the Seosan Ramanayot Prayer Center.
There were 14 confirmed cases in Jeollabuk-do (Jeonbuk No. 632~645). By region, there were 4 people from Gunsan, 4 people from Kimje, 2 people from Sunchang, 1 person from Jeonju, 1 person from Iksan, 1 person from Namwon, and 1 person from overseas. All four confirmed patients in Gimje were admitted to the Canaan Nursing Home and were further confirmed during quarantine at the facility. Two confirmed cases in Gunsan (Gunsan No. 114~115) were confirmed to be related to the Open Door Church in Namjung-dong, Iksan, and Gunsan No. 114 was confirmed to have visited the Gyeongsan Prayer Center in Gyeongsangbuk-do.
In Daegu, 9 confirmed cases were added. Daegu City is scheduled to reveal more details about them through a briefing on the 19th.
In Jeju, eight confirmed cases (Jeju No. 182-189) were added. Regarding Halla Sauna, where the local infection occurred, six people (Jeju No. 183~185, 187~189) were added. Jeju No. 182 was additionally confirmed on this day as a colleague of the confirmed patient from the Kimnyeong Catholic Church in Jeju.
There were also 5 new confirmed cases in Jeollanam-do (Jeonnam 491~495). There are 2 in Hwasun and 1 in each of Yeosu, Suncheon and Gwangyang. Among them, the confirmed cases in Suncheon are those related to the Gyeongsan Open Door Prayer Center, which is spreading in the Jeonbuk region. In Hwasun, two additional confirmed patients were added at a nursing hospital that was in quarantine in a cohort.
In Daejeon, 5 confirmed patients (Daejeon 689~693) were added. No. 689 visited Gyeongsan Open Door Prayer Center and contacted No. 688, which was confirmed the day before, and was infected. No. 690 was confirmed by contact with an acquaintance who was confirmed, and No. 691 is investigating the route of infection. Nos. 692~693 were confirmed during self-quarantine.
