June 26, 2020 – Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum are proud of their league title with Liverpool. For the first time since 1990, the club celebrates another championship. After the defeat that Manchester City suffered yesterday (Thursday) against Chelsea (2-1), Liverpool can no longer be traced. “It seemed as if that match would never end,” says Van Dijk.
“Long ago that I would have been nervous, but great that we can all celebrate the title together,” Van Dijk told BT Sport. “It is an indescribable feeling. We have played an incredible season. It was fantastic to be part of this team. We have been constant and played very well.”

In his first reaction, Wijnaldum searches for words to describe success. “It is difficult, but I am happy and proud to be part of these clubs,” the Liverpool website said. “The supporters have waited so long for this. They have always been loyal. That only makes it more beautiful. You can’t give them a much nicer gift.”
