In Oberschönegg (Landkreis Unterallgäu) one can still well remember that day in May. Several employees of the Ehrmann dairy noticed on a Tuesday morning that strangers had penetrated the company network. As a result, e-mail traffic and IT in the warehouse were disrupted. In addition, production stopped for a short time. The damage was comparatively manageable. But the incident showed the company that there is no complete protection against attacks from the Internet. And Ehrmann is by no means alone with the problem.
