IT-scientists who work as PFA will automatically switch to the real system from January 1, 2024. Practically, they no longer have an income norm, according to an order of the Ministry of Finance published in the Official Gazette.

We remind you that many companies in the information technology area collaborated with various IT-scientists (PFA) on software development. The problem is that they were telling them to work on the CAEN code of the consultancy in order to meet the income norm. Thus, after a few years ANAF came to check IT-sti and asked them why they work like that.
They calculated their final amounts and billed them, even though they said the company told them to do it that way.
“They had two CAEN codes on which they were “fooling” the state. They said they were consulting in information technology, code 6202. That was the norm, but in fact they were doing programming, software, code that is on the CAEN code 6201, which is ONLY for the real system,” explained tax consultant Cornel Grama.
From 2024 they will only be in the real system.
