Michela Vittoria Brambilla, former tourism minister in Berlusconi’s fourth government and president of the Italian League for the Defense of Animals and the Environment, is a guest on the May 29 edition of Stasera Italia, the Rete4 pre-evening television program hosted by Barbara Palombelli. During the broadcast, a point is made after the ballots of the administrative elections, which saw the center-right triumph with victory in five capitals out of the seven at stake (one went to a centre-right civic), with only one success for the left: “Elly Schlein took such an important turn to the left that it frightened, in my opinion, many centre-left voters who do not see themselves represented in that area. The themes brought forward, such as fascism and inheritance tax, are the furthest away from today’s citizens and their problems. If – Brambilla’s advice – he descended a little more to the earth and dealt with more meaningful issues, perhaps he would have more success”.
