The Huawei Mate 40 Pro confirms its status as the fastest smartphone!

Last weekend, I received a decisive update on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro, which remains at Android 10 for the moment. But on its EMUI 11 interface, according to some measurement tools, it remains the fastest smartphone. of the market! Test.

Having seen that the AnTuTu benchmark tool was now operational, I could not resist subjecting Huawei’s latest addition to the question. And you have to fasten your seat belt as the score delivered with a few minutes of analysis is mind-boggling: more than 707,000 points!

Be careful, however, that when the test is carried out without precaution, the device does not exceed approximately 600,000 points. It is indeed necessary to activate the “performance” mode so that the device delivers the best of itself, which obviously has an impact on consumption!

And under Android 11?

But how much are the best-selling devices in Switzerland doing on Android 11? Updated, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G achieves a score of more than 542,600 points and the Oppo Find X2 Pro touches the 610,000 points. It is one of the most easily accessible “optimized” devices.

Obviously, according to this web page, other models are also very strong like the Asus Rog Phone 3 and its more than 630,000 points, or the Samsung Galaxy Note 20Ultra 5G and its more than 600,000 points, a hair more powerful than the Galaxy Z Fold 2 from the same manufacturer.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro tops the AnTuTu benchmark.

And on the Apple side?

According to the same benchmark tool, on the Apple side, as far as these results are comparable, the results of the different iPhone 12s are between approximately 599,000 and 639,000 points. Note in passing the excellent performance of the iPhone 12 Mini, according to this other page!

But what is the use of writing down smartphones like this? Let’s say that the power of a device allows players above all to indulge their passion in good conditions. It is not for nothing that the Rog Phone 3, specific to this use, ranks second in this test.

Really meaningful tests

Knowing whether these scores really mean anything in this usage, I asked my lead tester to check the performance of the best devices on the market. He confirmed to me that these scores were quite meaningful.

Finally, note that at Samsung the scores may be different depending on whether the manufacturer uses its own Exynos chips or those of Qualcomm, a founder widely used by the industry including Oppo. Huawei, like Apple, are founding their own chips (now engraved in 5 nm).
