It’s been known for some time that Control 2 is one of Remedy Entertainment’s current projects, but until now there has been no direct information about whether it is in active development, which one of the developers seems to have confirmed.
Some information about the situation came from Remedy’s financial conference, which summed up the results of the fiscal quarter, however, as for Control 2, there was only a vague mention of the size of the project’s budget.
The new information comes from Leonid Stepanov, who in his new post on the X website said that he had finished work on Alan Wake 2 and therefore moved on to the development of Control 2.
This is essentially the first confirmation that the new chapter has entered the development stage, as until now it was believed that it was still at the concept stage. However, it is too early to draw any conclusions: despite the words about “development”, it is possible that Control 2 is still in the pre-production stage, since Remedy is simultaneously working on other projects.
This is a project called Condor, and remakes of Max Payne, and what was previously called Vanguard, and now has become Kestrel and is no longer free-to-play.
