With a father who is committed to start-ups and starting entrepreneurs, the apple does not fall far from the tree. Entrepreneurial blood creeps where it cannot go and so Claus sets up his own webshop. On his site he sells exclusive sports shoes that are no longer available on any other site. He told Blauw Blood that he was proud that his company became known in no time. “I also really like that people all leave positive reactions,” said Claus.
Shortly afterwards it was reported that he would finish the last two years of his secondary school career at the Vrijzinnig Christelijk Lyceum in The Hague, just like his uncle Willem-Alexander, at a boarding school in Scotland. The fact that the count suddenly left for the renowned school in Gordonstoun raised questions. According to gossip magazine Weekend he would be unruly at home and therefore have to leave. None of that was true if we are to believe his sister “Countess Fluencer” Eloise. His sister gave Weekend on Instagram, writing that it is “a strange idea to suggest that Claus is sent away, while he is the nicest and most social boy.”
Although his family is in the spotlight, Claus-Casimir enjoys a certain anonymity. He can live almost the same life as his peers. He does not have to be present on King’s Day and can choose his own future profession.
