In order to ensure the implementation of Riga transport infrastructure development investment projects, the municipal interim administration decided to take a medium-term loan of 8.9 million euros to the Treasury.
With these funds, it is planned to reconstruct the section of Ielejas Street and Asnu Street, to build parking lots within the red lines of the street, to build the bicycle road “Imanta-Daugavgrīva” and “Centrs-Ziepniekkalns”, as well as to build a sidewalk in the section of Sarkandaugavas Street from Ceļinieku Street to Allažu Street.
The Transport Department will be responsible for the implementation of the projects.
The loan is repayable for up to ten years, with the principal amount deferred for up to two years.
