Al-Hawas explained, during the “My Lady” program, broadcast on the Gulf Rotana satellite channel, that the main point is the impulse control disorder, explaining that it is an obsessive idea that comes to the individual who feels a very strong desire to steal, and this is due to a hormonal imbalance in the brain.
The specialist in psychology and mental health continued, that social aspects are also one of the reasons for this obsession, adding that this disorder is more common in women than men, and in poor environments more than in rich ones, noting that the owners of knowledge are the lowest percentage of ignorant, Moreover, the genetic or hereditary aspect has nothing to do with this disorder, so scientists have ruled out it.
