– From the 8th of this month, all foreigners entering Korea at the airport are obligated to submit a negative Corona 19 PCR confirmation.
According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the 1st, from the 8th, all foreigners entering the country through the airport must submit a PCR negative confirmation issued within 72 hours of departure.
Foreigners entering the port are obligated to submit a voice confirmation letter starting on the 15th.
If you do not submit a confirmation letter or if the PCR negative confirmation does not meet the eligibility criteria, you will be denied entry.
The government’s move is due to the spread of the mutant virus from the UK and South Africa to other countries.
The mutant virus, which spreads up to 70% higher than before, has spread to Australia, Denmark, Italy, and Ireland. In Korea, there have recently been 5 confirmed mutant viruses.
Previously, the government mandated foreigners and Koreans to submit negative PCR confirmations issued within 72 hours of departure for those entering the UK and South Africa where the mutant virus occurred.
From the 8th, it was decided to expand these measures to all foreigners in the world.
