National Basketball Associations (NBA) The Western Conference duel between the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers will take place on Sunday at 22:30 Latvian time, informs the league.

NBA players have launched protests against social inequality and racism, refusing to go on the pitch. The movement was started by the Milwaukee “Bucks” team, which did not go to the field in the match against Orlando “Magic”, but then other clubs also showed solidarity.
Although there were initially fears that the NBA season could be interrupted altogether, the basketball players changed their positions and agreed that the season would continue.

The Mavericks are expected to be able to help Luka Dončičs, who previously had an ankle injury, but Kristaps Porziņģis’ participation in the match is still in question, because the Latvian has problems with the knee.
The protests were carried out because on August 23, Wisconsin police unjustifiably used their power against Jacob Blake, a dark-skinned person, by firing seven shots at his back.
Blake is reportedly currently in hospital, but police officers who tried to detain him have been suspended. Hundreds of people have taken to the streets of Wisconsin in protest since the incident.
It should be recalled that this is not the only tragic incident in the United States this year with police involvement, as law enforcement officers also killed George Floid and Breonn Taylor. NBA players and other sports no longer wanted to be “silent” and decided to boycott.
