The Council of the Community Integration Fund (SIF) has approved 33 media applications to support them in mitigating the negative effects of the Covid-19 crisis.
As SIF informed LETA, in the third program competition it was possible to receive support for the costs of delivery of subscribed press publications and costs of broadcasting of electronic media television and radio programs for the period from 15 April to 9 July.
According to the foundation, the aim of the program is to provide support for the costs of broadcasting electronic media television and radio programs and for the delivery of subscribed press publications – the services of the state joint stock company Latvijas Pasts, providing the public with comprehensive information and views on Covid-19 crisis management. .
Funding of 176,750 euros for support of media activities was distributed among 23 applicants, for example, JSC “Muu medijs” received support in the amount of 6152 euros, SIA “Žurnāls Santa” – 40,634 euros, SIA “Izdevniecība Dienas mediji” – 24,598 euros, SIA “Laikraksts Stars ”- 2254 euros, SIA“ Cēsu druva ”- 3465 euros, SIA“ Imanta Info ”- 3109 euros.
SIA “Bauskas dzīve” also received support, for which 2327 euros were granted, SIA “Saldus Zeme II” received 2244 euros, SIA “Žurnālu izdevniecība Lilita” – 4070 euros, SIA “Novadu news” – 2402 euros, SIA “Kurzemesvārde” – 8883 euro, SIA “Staburags” – 2051 euros.
The SIF Council has also decided to support SIA “Jaunais Kurzemnieks” with 1825 euros, JSC “Latvijas mediji” with 25 769 euros and SIA “Izdevniecība Rīgas Viļņi” with 22 845 euros. Also, 3527 euros will be received by SIA “Reģionu mediji”, 329 euros by SIA “Rīgas apriņķa avīze”, 2973 euros by SIA “Rēzeknes vēstis”, 1182 euros – by SIA “Malienas žinios”.
SIA “Dienas žurnāli” will receive support to reduce the negative consequences of the Covid-19 crisis, they will be granted 12,134 euros, SIA “Vietējā” will receive 712 euros, SIA “Izdevniecība Auseklis” – 2277 euros, but SIA “Firma Zemgale” will receive 976.84 euros .
EUR 147,379 is intended to support broadcasting or postal deliveries and is distributed to 10 applicants. The SIF Council has decided to support SIA “Latgales regional TV”, which has been granted 1237 euros, SIA “Valmieras TV” – 1782 euros, SIA “All Media Latvia” – 66 654 euros, JSC “Radio SWH” – 47 661 euros, SIA “Radio Skonto Kurzeme ”- 6134 euros, JSC“ Kurzemes Radio ”- 4368 euros, SIA“ Radio Vidzeme ”- 9003 euros.
The SIF Council has also supported the allocation of funds to SIA “Radio Skonto Vidzeme”, for which 2476 euros have been earmarked, SIA “Divu krastu radio” has earmarked 2097 euros, and SIA “Radio Skonto” – 5964 euros.
