It was also agreed, according to the same information, to hold meetings of the 3+1 scheme (Cyprus, Greece, Israel + USA) first at the level of Ministers of Energy and then at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs. There was also a discussion about the role of the US in the Eastern Mediterranean region, but also beyond it, and about the issue of extending the lifting of the US arms embargo on Cyprus so that it does not need to be renewed every year, with the aim of eventually having permanent lifting of the embargo.
