It is good that Greenpeace wants to stop state aid to KLM through the courts

The billions that KLM receives from the government are bad for the climate, says Greenpeace, and therefore they should be withdrawn. Because no hard sustainability requirements have been set for the aid package, the environmental organization is now going to court to withdraw that billion-dollar aid.

Greenpeace demands an adapted support package containing agreements about maximum CO2 emissions. And if that does not work, the emergency plan has to be completely dropped to make way for a new package.

Is this unfeasible and is it important to keep KLM afloat, green or not green? Or is Greenpeace right and with this package the government is neglecting the duty of care that the Dutch government has for its citizens?
