The Netflix company will bet on video games in 2022, so it could offer its own content to its users.
As reviewed the newspaper El País of Spain, a source specified to the media Bloomberg what the video game category would appear as a “new genre of programming”.
In this sense, the television company live on the Internet does not plan to charge more for the content, but the decision “is not final” since it is finalizing details.
Netflix would have to compete with giants in the area such as Xbox, Sony, Activision Blizzard or Ubisoft, who have a great lead.
However, it is estimated that Netflix’s biggest competitor is the Twitch digital platform and not traditional video game companies.
