It is expected to close June with 40% of the housing subsidies delivered to victims of forest fires – La Discusión

After the forest fires that affected various communes of Ñuble, the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism is carrying out two reconstruction processes in force in the region, regulated by the housing programs DS10 and DS49, processes that will allow affected families to have their permanent home.

The Seremi de Vivienda y Urbanismo, Antonio Marchant and the director(s) of Serviu, Richard Maldonado, detailed the state of progress of the process and the subsidies delivered so far via direct allocation and national call with special conditions.

Marchant pointed out that 30 DS10 (Rural Habitability) subsidies have been delivered and 23 new DS49 subsidies have already been completed in Chillán, Chillán Viejo, Coelemu, Quillón, El Carmen and Ninhue.

“We used our regional resources through direct allocation that were transformed into 30 housing solutions in the five communes that presented the greatest deficit due to damage and then came a national call where we have 23 families with a housing subsidy, which next week we must link with the companies and more than 30 others that would be entering, with which we would be closing June with about 96 housing subsidies, which practically means 40% of the total families that we must attend to and then begin the construction process”, stated the Seremi de Housing and Urbanism.

He stressed that President Gabriel Boric and Minister Carlos Montes called for speed in the Reconstruction Plan and Ñuble has come up with definitive solutions in the short term thanks to coordination with other portfolios, municipalities and the private world.

Meanwhile, the director(s) of Serviu Ñuble, Richard Maldonado explained “that only in direct allocation of the Rural Habitability program, a total investment of approximately UF 35,000 (M$1,200) was deployed. All of the beneficiary families are linked to Entidades Gestion Rural, with a project developed and entered into Serviu”, adding that works have already begun in the communes of Quillón and Coelemu (3 families) and the final construction of the five more from the commune of Ránquil.

It is worth mentioning that families with a DS49 subsidy will begin to be linked to sponsoring entities, a process that begins to be scheduled in the coming days.

As for the houses, they have a living-dining room, bathroom, kitchen, 2 or 3 bedrooms, and distinctive elements for families with reduced mobility. As for the surface, it varies between 58 and 65 m2.
