It is estimated that by 2025 half of the world’s workers will be machines – Technologies – Apollo.lv – iTech

The statement said the “robot revolution” would create 97 million new jobs worldwide, but about the same amount would be lost.

Routine work, manual work, as well as data processing are most at risk of automation, the World Economic Forum said.

The forum’s study involved the world’s 300 largest companies, which currently employ eight million people worldwide.

In the survey, more than 50% of employers answered that they want to speed up the automation process of certain jobs in their companies. On the other hand, 44% of employers think that technology will reduce the number of jobs.

The pandemic has accelerated the introduction of technologies in companies, which help them reduce costs and adapt to new ways of operating. For this reason, many workers are at risk of losing their jobs.

“These technologies are exacerbating existing inequalities in the labor market and reducing employment since the 2008 global financial crisis,” said Saad Zahidi, executive director of the forum.

“This is a very big obstacle for entrepreneurs, which puts an even greater burden on already difficult times. With less and less opportunities to change something,” Zahidi continues.

Today, about a third of the world’s work is done by machines, while the rest by humans. In 2025, this ratio between cars and people is projected to change.

Industries that require human qualities such as advice, decision-making, reasoning, communication and communication will become more in demand. Demand will also increase in the engineering and IT sectors.

Millions of workers will have to retrain for other occupations, while governments will have to provide a “safety net” for potential unemployed.
