Pepe Olona, one of the creators of project ‘Universal Poe’ speaks in Good Morning, Madrid of this initiative that already has thousands of verses written from very different corners of the world.
As Olona explains it is open to hundreds of authors, so it can be infinite. “The project arises from a group of poets that we usually organize a festival, every year, but that in 2020 was not possible due to confinement.” It was precisely in those days that this initiative arose. “We think that poetry could become a tool, in a moment, in which we are separated.”
To be able to join this project there are several ways. “On the one hand there is our Universal Poem website in which whoever is interested can write some verses with a limit of 70 characters. Another option is through our Twitter account, or by sending a text message to the phone number that appears in our Web page”. Three options with which the creators of this initiative seek both immediacy and ease to join this project.
