It heats up, Belarus begins the inspection of the combat readiness of the troops

MINSK – A rapid inspection of the combat readiness of the Belarusian Armed Forces has begun in the country on the instructions of President Alexander Lukashenko.

This was revealed on Tuesday (12/13/2022) by the Belarusian Defense Ministry (Kemhan).

“On the instructions of the President of Belarus, the Commander-in-Chief of the Belarusian Armed Forces, a rapid combat readiness inspection led by the State Secretariat of the Security Council was initiated,” the Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

“The inspection phases will cover various aspects and troops will have to advance to designated areas, install engineering equipment, organize their defenses and establish crossings on the Neman and Berezina rivers,” the Belarusian defense ministry said.

The defense ministry added: “Movement on some roads and in some areas will be temporarily restricted to civilians due to controls.”

Tensions are rising in Belarus as the war between Russia and Ukraine continues. The conflict has the potential to spill over into neighboring countries.
