So far, Jānis has worked as a football and UFC commentator on TV3 Sport and has also commented on the European Football Championship “EURO 2020” on live TV6 this summer.
“Sports news has always been associated with my childhood when I didn’t have the internet, and the evening news was the only place to find out the results of the games and watch a snippet of the games. Four years ago, when I was just starting my career as a commentator, I first thought that my place could be in a sports news studio and I am very happy that this dream has come true. I am happy to join Tomas Prāmnieks and Kaspars Dvinskis, with whom we have also worked with TV3 Sport, ”the new sports news manager said in a statement.
Jānis Pakalns will continue to work as a long-term sports news moderator Laura lizbovska instead, who recently announced on Twitter: “My 25-year career on television ends on August 31st. TV3 replaces me. Thanks for 20 months of work. A big thank you to everyone who helped and supported me! It was interesting in any case! ”.
