[아시아경제 나한아 기자] A couple infected with the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in the UK married in a hospital intensive care unit when medical staff said it might be their last chance.
According to YTN reports on the 23rd, a couple married in the hospitalization room of a university hospital in England. Bride Lizzie Kerr and groom Simon O’Brien were holding their hands tightly on the air.
Before their wedding in June, they were transported to a hospital and hospitalized a few days after they tested positive for Corona 19 a while ago.
When they learned about their marriage plans, the medical staff said, “It could be your last chance.” Determined to ask the medical staff, they hurried to prepare for the ceremony, arguing with the hospital.
In the meantime, however, O’Brien’s condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was transferred to the intensive care unit. Eventually, the wedding was held in the intensive care unit, each wearing an oxygen respirator. It was only 4 hours after I decided to get married.
Fortunately, O’Brien’s condition improved quickly, and a few days later the newlyweds were able to make their first kisses as husband and wife.
O’Brien said, “I missed Lizzie so much that I really wanted to leave the intensive care unit, so I tried my best to fight.”
