It’s a construction project The core of the team is Kamal AmerIt is one of the most important new traffic axes of the Ring Road-connected highway network, which will significantly contribute to improving the road network, opening new traffic lanes, shortening travel times and eliminating traffic jams in Giza Governorate.
“The Seventh Day” explains in the following lines the most important information about the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer.
1- It is the first free-traffic axis connecting North and South Giza and a new link connecting Giza and Cairo Governorate through a series of entrances.
2- The axis route starts from Al-Munib Circle in the south and extends to Al-Warraq in the north to Rawd Al-Farag in Tahya Misr axis, with a length of 15 km and a width of (33-65 ,5) meters.
3- Provides for the construction of a free axis in two directions with a width of (3-4 m) carriageway in each direction and the development of surface roads serving the movement of people’s traffic with a width of (2-3 m ) traffic lane in each direction.
4- Provides for the construction of free intersections for the connection with the ring road and with the main traffic axes intersecting with it.
5- The axis connects several main axes to each other, namely July 26, the League of Arab States, Saft al-Laban, Faisal, al-Haram and a number of roads.
6- It connects many residential blocks, which are Al-Munib, Al-Omraniya, Boulaq Al-Dakrour, Al-Agouza, Ard Al-Liwa, Imbaba, Al-Warraq, Awsim and Rawd Al-Faraj.
7- The axis eliminates traffic congestion in Giza Square, July 26th axis and Saft El Laban axis.
8- Reduce travel times between North and South Giza via the ring road.
9- Reduce the access distance between Cairo governorates and Giza with new traffic connecting axes.
