IT company gives people with autism a chance

For the first time in Bulgaria, a program for training and hiring people with autism in IT companies will be launched. The innovative program has proven itself in English-speaking countries, said in an interview for the BNR Ana Andreeva-Sapundzhieva, clinical psychologist of the Parents’ Association “Autism” and Martin Blagoev from the company DXC Technology, who will use the program.

In Bulgaria, the prospects for people with autism are very poor. After finishing school, they stay at home and are isolated from the outside world, Andreewa explained. The programs for qualification or retraining of the employment offices are often not applicable to them.
