Extraliga club HC Nové Zámky and Swedish Västerviks IK made an exchange of overseas attackers.
The 27-year-old American winger Troy Loggins headed to the Tipos extraliga participant when he replaced Matteo Gennaro. The Novozámok club reported on the transaction on the official website.
“We had the opportunity to exchange players with Swedish Västerviks, which is not quite usual. Unfortunately, Matteo Gennaro could not fulfill his potential with us and did not meet our expectations. He is a good guy for the cabin, so we wish him the best of luck in his new position. We are very happy , that Troy Loggins is coming to us, who has had an excellent college career. Loggins arrived in Sweden before the 2022/2023 season, which was his first in Europe. He played 27 games for Västerviks, in which he collected 14 Canadian points (9+5).
For 25-year-old Gennar, Västerviks will be the fourth place of work in the ongoing 2022/2023 season. He started it in the KHL and came to Slovan at the end of October. He played seven games for the Whites with a goal and two assists, after which he left the club. Subsequently, he headed to Nový Zámky, for which he played in 14 matches, in which he scored five points (3+2).
