Sony has found an actor to play one of Spider-Man’s enemies in a solo movie. We are talking about Craven the hunter, who will undoubtedly be remembered by fans of comics and the animated series about the web thrower. This character has Slavic roots (his real name is Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinov) and is engaged in hunting big game, maybe even going out to a large predator with bare hands. Once a man took a serum that gave him superpowers, and then suddenly decided that the capture of the incredibly dexterous Spider-Man would prove to the whole world that he was the best hunter on the planet.
Recall that while Spiderman himself is a hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (played by Tom Holland), the copyright holders of this character decided to make separate films about his sworn enemies. A good start was “Venom” with Tom Hardy, is also preparing Morbius with Jared Leto.
And here is the edition Variety reports that 30-year-old Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast in the lead role in the movie about Craven the Hunter. Previously, he played the main character in the Kick-Ass films, appeared in Marvel as Mercury, in Western Anna Karenina in 2012 as Vronsky, as well as in Godzilla in 2014 and in Argument. Now Sony has signed a contract with him for several films about Craven the Hunter.
The release of the first picture is scheduled for January 2023.
