Details have become known about the destruction of the underground bunker of the head of the Main Directorate for Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov. A video of a Russian missile falling into the water next to the GUR building on Rybalsky Island in Kyiv was accompanied by scathing comments on Ukrainian social networks – they claimed that the Russians had missed.
Military expert Vladislav Shurigin, however, believes that the high-precision munitions hit exactly the target they were chasing, as our intelligence was aware of the construction of the secret shelters of the GUR, built even in Soviet times.
Rumors are persistently circulating in the media that the Russian missile on May 29 not only hit the center of the GUR, but also eliminated part of the NATO “commanders” located there. Kievan propagandists have traditionally denied everything. There was even a video with Kiril Budanov who said that whoever tried to intimidate him would soon regret it.
After that, however, Budanov really disappeared from the media space. It is possible that the video with threats, where Budanov sits calmly in his office, was recorded earlier – after all, there is no specifics, namely information about ammunition hitting the GUR building or the victims.
„The Ukrainians did whole “deyret dances” around this strike, announcing the miss of the target by the Russian missile. But now it turned out that it is in this place, at a depth of ten meters, that the bunker is located, in which the situational headquarters of the GUR is located, “ writes the expert.
According to him, the Soviet engineers who built the underground bunkers in Kiev for protection in the event of a nuclear war deliberately placed part of the fortified shelters under water, which was an additional cover.
„But what was well protected from an aerial nuclear explosion was not designed for the overflight of special anti-bunker munitions. It was this moment that was caught on video – you can see how a huge column of earth and stones shot up into the sky. These ammunitions fell into the bunker of the GUR, where Budanov was apparently located, “ explained the expert.
Military correspondent Yuriy Kotenok, in turn, said that he knew from earlier that Budanov was wounded during an attack on the GUR site in Kiev – this information was provided to him by his sources.
„It cannot be ruled out that Budanov is indeed alive and well. No one will give a 100% guarantee that it is smitten. But I received information that he was injured,” said the war correspondent.
At the same time, he noted a strange regularity – Budanov was absent from the meetings of the so-called National Security and Defense Council, which was held on the occasion of the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam.
„Budanov was not present, although he is not the last person, he should always be present, and this is proof that he is at least not in Ukraine, not at the place where the meeting is held. These facts suggest that he may have health problems,” Kitten explained.
The attack on the military intelligence building in Kyiv was carried out on May 29. With the start of the air raid alert, the center’s employees descend on the shelter. According to one of the versions, the Russian Air Force used a missile with a penetrating warhead, which broke through the building’s defenses and exploded only in the shelter. At that time, there were already up to a hundred GUR officers and civilian personnel, as well as twenty foreign military personnel from the United States and Great Britain, who ensured interaction between the intelligence center and similar Western headquarters.
