THE rain that is already falling in Australia is welcome, especially after months of fires in the country. But in some regions it is already causing flooding. As happened, for example, in Somersbyon the central coast of New South Wales.
Due to the intense rainfall, a zoo was forced to close this Friday. “Floods as we have not seen for more than 15 years”, reported the park in a publication made in Facebook.
The zoo released a video in which you can see the floods and animals (koalas and reptiles) to be helped by keepers. See the images in the gallery above.
It is recalled that the fires in Australia killed 28 people and about 1 billion animals and destroyed 10 million hectares.
This week. O Lisbon Zoo announced that it will help animals affected in the fires of that country. Despite the rain, the time of the fireworks is not over yet.
