2021 – The Taliban claim to control all of Afghanistan.
After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, international terrorist Osama bin Laden found refuge in Taliban Afghanistan.
This was the reason for the US invasion of Afghanistan. However, according to journalist Pepe Escobar, the real reason was the Taliban’s refusal to lay the Trans-Afghan pipeline (TAPI, Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India) on US terms, in particular, the US plan for the US invasion of Afghanistan existed six months before the events of September 11.
Starting from May 1, 2021, in connection with the announcement of the final withdrawal of American troops from the country, the Taliban militants launched an active offensive operation against the government forces of Afghanistan.
The Afghan government began to rapidly lose control over the country’s territory. By mid-August, the Taliban had captured most of Afghanistan’s territory, including 2/3 of the provincial capitals.
And today the Taliban are taking over. The President resigned.
