The fighting took place in one of the cities of the Donetsk region, noted in ISW.
In the Donetsk region, the troops of the Russian Federation stepped up offensive action in the area of two cities – Avdeevka and Liman.
On Monday, May 23, the occupiers managed to achieve some success, informs American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
According to him, fighting is going on in Liman, as the enemy is trying to cut our supply lines. At the same time, the enemy intensified artillery strikes on Avdiivka.

Recall early in the morning on February 24, Russian troops invaded the territory of our state. The enemy first dropped bombs on military targets, and then fired at peaceful settlements, including the Donetsk region.
Later, the invaders went on the offensive in parts of eastern Ukraine. The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavel Kirilenko, reported on May 23 that Liman, Avdiivka, Maryinka, Krasnogorovka, Vuhledar and Toretsk suffered from shelling over the past 24 hours.
The official noted that in the Donetsk region the front line had not changed in a day.
