Apple released the watchOS 10.1 update yesterday (26th), but it has only been launched for one day. Many Apple Watch users have complained that the power consumption is abnormally fast after the upgrade, and they suspect it is a disaster.

Foreign media9to5macSaid that many netizens reported on foreign platforms such as Reddit and “Since updating Apple Watch Series 7, 25% of the battery is consumed in 30 minutes.”

Affected models include new and old Apple Watches, and the newly launched Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are no exception. However, not everyone encountered this issue, and some people reported that the update was fine.

In addition to power consumption, some netizens pointed out that after the update, the Apple Watch became overheated, causing it to be unable to charge, and even a notification saying “Cannot be charged due to the temperature of the Apple Watch” would pop up.

It is pointed out that similar problems actually exist in watchOS 10.1 beta. It can be seen that Apple has not solved it. If users have not updated yet, it is recommended to wait for Apple to release a fix.
