The Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) reported that it exceeded the application goal of vaccines against Covid-19 during Operative April carried out from April 11 to 30.
Pedro Zenteno Santaella, director of ISSSTE, highlighted that the institute applied 802 thousand 694 doses throughout the national territory, which represents 102% of the 787 thousand 90 doses initially scheduled. For this, he explained, 238 vaccination modules were placed in the Institute’s medical units and other points of care were included, such as the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and the “Felipe Ángeles” International Airport (AIFA).
The director of the Issste reported that none of the vaccines expired, since the expiration date was after the second half of May, according to the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris).
He also highlighted that the entities where the most vaccines were applied were in Mexico City, 93 thousand 398; State of Mexico, 85 thousand 469; Jalisco, 52 thousand 304, Puebla 44 thousand 700 and Coahuila, 44 thousand 351.
To conclude, he said that in the ISSSTE the decrease in hospitalizations for severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) derived from COVID-19; In the last 24 hours, 10 admissions, 10 discharges and zero deaths were recorded. The states with the highest hospital occupancy in the institute are: Durango 16.7%; Hidalgo, 16.7% and Tlaxcala, 8.3%.}
