Israel’s Weaknesses Revealed After Hezbollah Drones Break Through Iron Dome

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Attack drone Hizbullah who managed to break into the Iron Dome and hit the military base Israel in Binyamina succeeded in exposing the weaknesses of the Zionist State.

Hezbollah launched the Mirsad-1 drone to Binyamina, northern Israel on Sunday (13/10) local evening.

CNN said that the attack even hit the dining table during lunch, around 19.00 local time.

Hezbollah drones killed four Israeli soldiers and wounded 67 people.

The exact timing and location of the attack shows that Hezbollah has a lot of intelligence and the ability to launch a devastating attack despite the Israeli attack.

This militia also has the potential to increase the number of victims.

In addition, Hezbollah’s attack demonstrated the failure of Iron Dome and the weakness of Israel’s military.

Senior researcher at Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) Orna Mizrahi said Hezbollah drones are difficult to detect due to their small size, relatively light weight and low radar signature.

Mizrahi also said that Iran and its allies were trying to defeat Israel’s notorious defense system.

They, the researcher, identified drones as a “weakness” in Israel’s defense system.

“Every time we find a solution to something, they find another way to attack,” Mizrahi said CNN.

Hezbollah’s Mirsad-1 escaped even without being detected by Israel’s warning system. The staff who were attacked in the dining room did not receive any warning.

This is not the first time that Hezbollah drones have entered strategic sites in Israel.

In June, Hezbollah released a 9-minute drone video. This film shows civilian and military locations in Israel’s largest city of Haifa.

The drone was apparently not found by the Israeli military.

At that time, the IDF only announced that it would prepare and find solutions to deal with this possibility.

Then in July, drones from the Houthis entered Tel Aviv as well. No sirens were active when the attack occurred.

Hezbollah is on the rise

Hezbollah’s latest attack on Israel also shows the capabilities of this militia after its leader Hassan Nasrallah and other important people were killed in the Israeli campaign.

International security expert from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Daniel Sobelman, said that the latest Hezbollah attack was a revival.

“This indicates that they are regaining a strategic balance of control and leadership,” said Sobelman.

Hezbollah even continued to fight and was still able to launch rocket and drone attacks even though Lebanon was invaded.

Hezbollah, the expert said, is capable of waging an all-out war, disrupting life in much of northern Israel, and inflicting a crushing defeat on the Zionist forces.

In Lebanon, Israel attacked blindly. They attacked Hezbollah sites and civilian facilities such as refugee camps.

“This shows that Hezbollah is regaining operational stability,” Sobelman said.

He also said that one of the important factors in guerrilla warfare is the ability of the weaker party to continue moving forward, fighting and causing losses to the other party.

The increasing death toll from the Israeli military shows that Hezbollah is determined to continue to advance, despite repeated heavy blows.

Since Israel attacked Lebanon on October 1, the total number of soldiers killed is 18.
