Hell without end in Gaza, as the Israeli bombardment continued into the early hours of Monday morning. Agence France-Presse envoys reported that there were strikes in various sectors of the Palestinian territories, where according to the UN “there is no safe place for the 2.4 million inhabitants.
Netanyahu insists that a full-scale ground offensive will be launched in Rafah. Last week, the Israeli armed forces ordered civilians in the eastern part of the Gaza Strip to leave.
“We are living a hell”
On foot, in cars, tricycles and by whatever means available, Palestinians continue to flee areas of Rafah in a desperate attempt to find refuge elsewhere from the Israeli onslaught.
“We lived through hell for three days and the worst nights after the attack began, Mohammed Hamad, 24, one of the 300,000 Gazans who fled eastern Rafah, which is being bombarded since civilians were ordered to leave urgently, told AFP.
“The Israeli authorities continue to issue forced displacement orders (…) forcing the residents of Rafah to flee anywhere”the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philip Lazzarini, said via X. “Talking about safe zones is false and misleading. There is no safe place in Gaza”he added.
