Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Cohen Discusses Military Operation in Gaza Strip

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen believes that Israel has two to three more weeks for an active military operation in the Gaza Strip, and after this period strong international pressure will begin. At the same time, the minister is convinced that at the moment public opinion in the world is still on the side of Israel, despite the numerous pro-Palestinian demonstrations taking place in various countries.

“We already feel that pressure is beginning to be put on Israel at the political level,” Cohen said, speaking to reporters. “The pressure is not very great yet, but it is gradually increasing. In the negotiations that I conduct with foreign leaders, the humanitarian aspect is increasingly emphasized “People’s solidarity and indignation at the October 7 massacre is declining. And although not publicly, there are already requests for a ceasefire.”

On Tuesday, November 14, Eli Cohen is scheduled to meet in Geneva with Mirjana Spoljaric-Egger, President of the International Red Cross. During the negotiations, he will demand that ICRC representatives visit Israeli citizens abducted by Hamas terrorists.
