Soldier Israel reportedly opened fire on civilians Palestine who managed to return to their homes in the province Gaza Strip northern part of the moment ceasefire taking place. A number of Palestinians were injured as a result of the gunfire.
As reported Middle East EyeFriday (24/11/2023), direct report from a journalist Middle East EyeMaha Hussaini, who is still in the Gaza Strip, said Israeli troops shot at Palestinians to prevent them from returning to their homes during the ceasefire.
“Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians who were trying to return to their homes east of Maghazi in central Gaza, about two and a half hours after the pause,” said Hussaini.
“I was standing on the roof of our safe house, and I could hear the sound of Israeli machine guns in the eastern area,” he said.
There has been no official response from the Israeli military to this report. Gaza authorities controlled Hamas Also haven’t commented yet.
Similar reports were conveyed by leading Israeli media, Haaretzwhich stated that Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) personnel opened fire on Palestinians who were trying to cross from the southern area to the northern area of the Gaza Strip on Friday (24/11) local time, after the ceasefire took effect.
Haaretz in its report stated that 15 Palestinians were injured as a result of the IDF fire. The injured were evacuated to a hospital in the Deir al-Balah area, central Gaza.
