Security and local sources confirmed today, Wednesday, that an Israeli air strike on a residential area in southern Lebanon resulted in the death of a Lebanese-Australian man, his wife, and his brother.
The raid occurred late yesterday evening, Tuesday, targeting a house in the town of Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.
One of the brothers’ relatives identified the body of Ibrahim Bazzi, a Lebanese civilian man with Australian citizenship, whose wife, a Lebanese national, also died. After that, Hezbollah announced the killing of Ali Bazzi, his brother, and one of its fighters.
When Reuters asked the Israeli occupation army about the incident, it responded by saying that one of its planes bombed a Hezbollah position during the night in Lebanon. Australian media quoted a spokesman for the Australian Foreign Ministry as saying that the ministry is aware of the report related to the incident, and that they are seeking to verify its authenticity.
