Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Urges Arab Leaders to Stand Against Hamas

Netanyahu: I say to the leaders of the Arab countries that you must stand against Hamas

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel will not stop until its mission in Gaza is accomplished, indicating that the war is progressing and its goal is victory, and there is no alternative to that. This came in a joint press conference with Security Minister Gallant and Minister Gantz.

He said: “There will be no ceasefire without the return of the kidnapped people. Negotiations for their release are taking place with the head of the Mossad. Hamas fighters are losing control in the Gaza Strip and there is no place for them to hide.”

The Prime Minister added: “Hamas is an integral part of the axis of terrorism led by Iran. Hamas will be disarmed and there will be no threat to Israel from Gaza. We will continue to work to control the Gaza Strip to ensure that there is no threat from it.” He stressed that “the central goal is to eliminate Hamas and most of the American people support us,” stressing that he is “in constant contact with US President Joe Biden and I appreciate the military, political and moral support of the American people.”

He also pointed out that “any international pressure will not change our belief in our right and duty to defend ourselves, and if you want peace and security and to guarantee the future of the State of Israel, then we must eliminate Hamas.” Commenting on the events taking place on the border with Lebanon, he said: “We are ready for the northern front and I warned Hezbollah against engaging in this war.”

The Israeli Prime Minister sent a message to the Arab leaders who attended the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh today, and said: “The Arab leaders must stand against Hamas.” He also called on world leaders to support Israel, saying: “World leaders must continue to show their support for Israel and not yield to any pressure.”

In turn, Israeli Security Minister Yoav Galant said Saturday evening that “Hezbollah is playing with fire,” warning that “Israeli forces on the ground are prepared for every mission.”

Yoav Galant said: “When the ground operation is deeper, the pressure on Hamas increases and access to the kidnapped people increases.”

Gallant commented on the international criticism, saying: “This is not the year 1943. Today we have the ability to defend ourselves. Where do they get the audacity to give us lessons about moral values?” He attacked the international leaders by saying: “The one who brings destruction to all the residents of Gaza is Hamas. He must be angry and exposed to pressure. We will not accept moral preaching.”

Earlier today, the Israeli Minister of Security assessed the situation in the Galilee, near the Lebanese border, and spoke with army personnel. Gallant said during his visit: “Hezbollah is making mistakes, and is close to committing a grave mistake, and the residents of Beirut may end up in the same situation as Gaza, where they have already begun to raise the white flag and flee their homes.”

State Camp head Benny Gantz, during the joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant, commented on the march for the return of the abductees that took place this evening in Hatuvim Square in Tel Aviv, saying, “At this time many are gathering for the sake of our abductees.” “I hug them from here and promise them: We are doing everything we can – both operationally and politically – to bring the girls and boys home.”

He said: Whatever the developments, we will continue the war. Our councils are united and strong.
