While pressure for a ceasefire is growing from France and Arab countries, Israel has expressed its stance that it will continue the war even if it turns the whole world into an enemy.

According to local media on the 11th (local time), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Minister Benny Gantz and said, “We will not give in to pressure” in response to calls for a ceasefire from some Western countries and the international community. It was reported that he said.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said he would “resolutely stand up to the world if necessary,” and made it clear that there was no sign of stopping the attacks on the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Netanyahu also expressed his intention to reoccupy Gaza, saying troops would remain in the Gaza Strip “as long as necessary” to prevent the area from being used for terrorist attacks against Israel.

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that “Hamas will be demilitarized, there will be no further threat from Gaza to Israel, and we will control security in Gaza to prevent terrorism whenever necessary.”

The international community’s criticism and calls for a ceasefire are growing in response to Israel’s move.

French President Emmanuel Macron, in an interview with the British broadcaster BBC on the 10th (local time), said there was “no justification” for Israel’s bombing of the Gaza Strip, saying that many civilians were dying.

President Macron criticized the armed political faction Hamas, saying it was carrying out “terrorist” acts, but repeatedly called for a ceasefire between the two sides.

At the special summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Saudi Arabia on the 11th, the leaders of 57 countries gathered in a special statement called for an immediate ceasefire and for the UN’s International Court of Justice to open an investigation into the Israeli attack.
