The Ukrainian ambassador to Israel added that now for Netanyahu the easiest way to get to the White House is only by going to Kyiv. Korniychuk recalled that Zelensky had repeatedly invited Netanyahu to Kyiv, but he had not yet answered in the affirmative.
Israel has been trying to get closer to Washington in recent years. Joe Biden has not yet invited the Israeli Prime Minister to the US. The main reason is Israel’s new judicial reform project.
The Israeli radio station Best Radio does not rule out that the prime minister may visit Chisinau before meeting with Zelensky.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry recommends that Netanyahu meet with Zelensky. And the chairman of the defense-related subcommittee, Gideon Saar, said that Israel should provide military assistance to Ukraine.
“The question of the war in Ukraine remains the number one problem for the world, the international community and international public opinion. In the eyes of the Western world, Israel remains aloof from this conflict. A new assessment of Israeli policy regarding the war in Ukraine is needed,” Saar said.
Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Yuli Edelstein agreed with Saar. “Ukraine has become Iran’s playing field”, he added.
“Iranian weapons are flooding the region, Iranian technology and Russian cooperation pose a clear threat to the security of the State of Israel,” Edelstein said.
Earlier, Netanyahu explained to the Israelis and the whole world why he does not want to supply Kyiv military equipment.
