JERUSALEM, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the northern Gaza Strip on Monday, where he pledged to continue the fight, his office said.
Accompanied by the deputy chief of staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Major General Amir Baram, Mr. Netanyahu visited the Palestinian enclave where the conflict still rages between Israel and Hamas, the office said of the Israeli Prime Minister.
“We are not stopping. The war will be brought to an end, nothing less,” Netanyahu told Israeli soldiers.
The Israeli army said at least two soldiers were killed in fighting in Gaza on Monday, bringing the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the conflict to 156. END
