The President of Israel, Itzhak Herzog, urged the international community to condemn Hamas and express its full support for the Jewish State after the deadly aggression it suffered.
Not since the Holocaust have so many Jews been killed on one day.

“From the Holocaust “So many Jews had been murdered in one day,” he said. Herzog in a message that he spread worldwide and in a column published in the magazine TIME.
“From the Holocaust “We had not seen images of Jewish mothers and children, teenagers and elderly women loaded onto trucks and taken to captivity,” he added.

In line with one of the objectives outlined by the prime minister, Herzog assured that Israel requires the support of the international community.
“I urge the entire international community, those who have always supported us and those who have traditionally taken a different position. Now is the time to speak. Now is the time to act in support of Israel with words and deeds, both at home and in international institutions,” he said.
In this sense, he urged the international community to condemn Hamasdesignate it as a terrorist group, demand the return of the hostages and show full support for Israel.
“We will act with full force and unwavering commitment to eliminate this threat to our people. We will pursue all those who perpetrate and support such heinous acts against us. I know that the Israeli spirit will win.”
According to authorities, at least 900 people were killed in the surprise attack by Hamas and more than 2,700 people were injured.
In response Israel has launched multiple air strikes against Hamas throughout the Gaza Stripwhile Netanyahu has promised the harshest reaction against the terrorist group.
