The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip confirmed today, Thursday, that the Israeli occupation committed 18 massacres during the past 24 hours, claiming 179 martyrs and 303 injured, in addition to the large number of victims that could not be counted under the rubble and on the roads.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra said – in a press conference on the 69th day of the aggression – that the toll of the Israeli aggression since the seventh of last October rose to 18,787 martyrs and 50,897 injured, and that the Israeli occupation turned the “Kamal Adwan” Hospital into a barracks and theater. For his military operations, he requests, under threat, the evacuation of the wounded and sick to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, which lacks all therapeutic capabilities, and this constitutes an execution for them.
He added that the Israeli occupation forces threaten the lives of 12 children in care as a result of the lack of milk and life support equipment for them, noting that the occupation is still arresting 70 medical staff and the wounded, led by the hospital director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot, and is deliberately liquidating the health presence in northern Gaza to force the population On displacement, he pointed out that the health situation in hospitals in southern Gaza is also the worst as a result of the loss of absorptive and treatment capacities and medical staff differentiate between serious cases to save lives and what can be saved among the large numbers arriving at hospitals in the south.
Al-Qudra appealed to international institutions to support the health sector in the Gaza Strip with medicines, medical consumables, fuel, and specialized medical teams.
He continued, “The health and humanitarian situation in shelter centers and places is unbearable and unimaginable, and there is concern about the death of tens of thousands as a result of the spread of epidemics, infectious diseases, malnutrition, lack of drinking water and personal hygiene, and the lack of any health services for them.”
He pointed out that health teams detected 327,000 cases of infectious diseases that arrived at health centers from shelter centers, and this number was the one that was able to reach health centers, and it is likely that the number is much higher than that.
