The Israeli occupation forces assassinated 3 Palestinians inside a car near the Arraba roundabout, south of Jenin, while Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar presented Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a strategic warning about the situation in the West Bank, including the possibility of Palestinians kidnapping settlers.
Palestinian sources reported that an Israeli special force fired at a Palestinian vehicle near the Araba roundabout, south of Jenin, and an exchange of fire was heard in the place, prompting the occupation forces to send security reinforcements.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the occupation forces assassinated 3 wanted persons in Jenin.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (official) stated that “a force from the Special Yamam Unit of the Border Police managed to assassinate an armed cell near Jenin.”
Netanyahu praised the forces that carried out the Jenin operation, saying that Israel will continue to work everywhere and at all times to pursue those who seek to kill Israelis.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant also said, “Our forces carried out a quick and accurate operation to eliminate a cell of terrorists that was on its way to carry out an operation against Israeli citizens,” adding, “We will continue to work wherever necessary to ensure the safety of Israelis.”
A joint statement by the occupation army, the border guards and the Shin Bet said that “a cell that was on its way to carry out an operation was liquidated.”
The Israeli army named the cell leader as Nayef Abu Zwit, 26, and described him as a “military activist” in the Jenin refugee camp, according to the statement.
And Palestinian sources said that the occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching the scene of the shooting and pulling out the injured from inside the car.

An angry popular march was launched from the center of Jenin camp, accompanied by the families of the three martyrs who were shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces, during which the demonstrators chanted slogans condemning the assassination, and renewed their adherence to the resistance and their rejection of the occupation.
In a parallel context, Palestinian media reported that a settler ran over a boy and moderately injured him in the Kisan area, east of Bethlehem.
The occupation forces stormed – at dawn today, Sunday – the town of Rummana, west of Jenin, and raided the house of Kamel Abu Bakr, the perpetrator of the shooting attack in Tel Aviv.
Local sources said that the occupation forces raided the town of Rummana to take measurements of the Abu Bakr family’s house in order to demolish it, and the raid resulted in the outbreak of clashes between young Palestinians and the Israeli army.
Yesterday, Saturday, the martyr Abu Bakr carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv that led to his death, and resulted in the death of an Israeli policeman and the wounding of 3 others, while Palestinian factions saw that the heroic operation came as a response to the settler militia’s escalation of its crimes against the Palestinians.
Reactions
For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourned the martyrs, and said that the Zionist enemy is committing a new crime by assassinating 3 of our Palestinian people in Jenin, stressing that “the occupation will not escape paying the price for its crimes, and our people and their valiant resistance will not pass the aggression without paying the price.” .
The movement’s spokesman, Hazem Qassem, said, “This escalation of the occupation, which targets the Palestinian people and their sanctities, confirms the necessity of serious work to formulate a practical national plan to confront the occupation, and the involvement of all nationals in the program to confront the settler government’s terrorism.”
For his part, Tariq Selmi – spokesman for the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that the crime committed by the occupation in Jenin is an aggression against the entire Palestinian people.
Selmi added – in a press statement – that “the occupation will soon realize that its terror will be met with a strong response from the resistance, and that the Al-Quds Brigades will never waste the blood of its mujahideen and leaders,” stressing that “the resistance will never weaken as a result of the crimes of the occupation, but will grow stronger and more determined to move on.” in combat and confrontation.
In turn, the Popular Front said that the Palestinian people and their resistance will not remain silent about the crime of Jenin, and considered in a press statement that the continuous escalation of aggression against the Palestinian people represents a motive for escalating the resistance and the involvement of all Palestinians in the trench of confrontation with the occupation.
The Front reiterated its previous call and firm position on the need to achieve national unity, and for the Palestinian official level to take serious steps that break with the agreements signed with the occupation and withdraw recognition of its entity, open the door to achieving national unity, and mobilize energies to protect the Palestinian people.
The Front called on the Palestinians to overcome any differences or narrow calculations, stop political arrests and media squabbles, and pay attention to protecting the back of the resistance.
Security meeting
In another context, the political security cabinet, headed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is discussing developments on more than one level.
The Cabinet announced that the meeting was devoted to discussing the security situation in the West Bank, as well as the security situation on the border with Lebanon.
This comes against the backdrop of what the Israeli circles describe as an escalation and the possibility of a large-scale military explosion in the situation.
Israeli media said that Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar presented Netanyahu with a strategic warning about the situation in the West Bank, including the possibility of Palestinians kidnapping settlers.
Barr assured Netanyahu that “settler terrorism” fuels what he called “Palestinian terrorism” in the West Bank.
